Service Description

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a streamlined version of the PADI Open Water Diver course, ideal for those with limited time who still want to become certified divers. It’s perfect if you plan to dive mainly under the guidance of a dive professional and can also serve as a stepping stone toward earning your Open Water Diver certification. What You’ll Be Qualified to Do as a PADI Scuba Diver • Dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. • Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba gear, and participate in supervised dive activities. • Continue your dive education by completing the PADI Open Water Diver course and select specialty courses. Course Requirements To enroll, you must be at least 10 years old, have basic swimming skills, and be in good physical health. No prior scuba experience is necessary, but you can try it out first with the Discover Scuba® Diving program. How to Get Started Begin with Open Water Diver eLearning, which allows you to learn online at your own pace. Other home study options include the Open Water Diver Manual and Video package, available at your local PADI dive shop. Visit a PADI dive shop to enroll, get your learning materials, and start with the book or video. Your PADI Instructor will guide you through knowledge reviews, confined water practice sessions, and open water dives to complete your training. The PADI Open Water Diver certification can take as little as 2-4 days to complete. The time it takes depends on how quickly you understand the theory and how fast you progress.
